Plans for Bridle Path, Watford

Welcome to the website to showcase the plans for the future of Bridle Path, Watford.

The proposals will deliver new homes, internal and external shared amenity spaces and public realm improvements.

The site was the former Clarendon House on Bridle Path, and this building was demolished in 2019.

Since then, the site has been boarded up and is providing no benefit to the Watford community.

Community Investment Programme (CIP)

Alongside these benefits, our proposals also deliver the CIP. Through this programme, the proposals will be made available to local charities and SMEs to promote social enterprise and a sense of community.

We have spoken with several local charities, community groups, SMEs and social enterprises who can benefit from free use and access to the development.

Although not yet finalised, the CIP aims to grant groups the use of co-working space, shared spaces including the gym and kitchens, and meeting or events spaces.

Entrepreneurs Innovation Fund (EIF)

We are passionate about making a genuine difference in the communities we work within and have engaged with several businesses and charities in Watford about how our development plans can benefit the work they do in the local area.

These conversations have led us to conclude that Watford is a thriving place for SME businesses and charities, and we want to help with this.

Therefore, through the launch of the EIF we will ringfence £120,000 to support twelve local start-ups (maximum of £10,000 each) in Watford to launch their own business.

The application process is to be defined working with the Watford and West Herts Chamber of Commerce. Further information will be made available as soon as possible.
